Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Broadcast Engineer at BATCAM in Epping, with working remotely at live broadcasts around the globe being a part of the role. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining fantastic quality broadcast across multiple systems, from aerial cameras, wire, handheld and more. You will help with the testing, preparation and upkeep of our systems.
Qualifications
- Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills
- Experience in Broadcast Engineering
- Strong knowledge of broadcasting and video technologies
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with live broadcast environments is desirable
- Experience with RF video links is desirable
BATCAM Pilot

Role overview:
BATCAM has an exciting opportunity to become part of our small, but busy team.
BATCAM is looking for a BATCAM pilot who is an enthusiastic, positive thinker, self starter, lover of tech, problem solver and open minded to learn many new skills. If you are reading this and are confident at least 50% of the above applies then we want to hear from you.

Who are we?
BATCAM is the UK leader in live aerials from our BATCAM UAV systems. We work weekly on large scale events, from Premier League to Champions League football to Horse Racing, Cricket, Rugby, Athletics, plus regular non-live shoots for commercials & dramas. We also work on international projects such as International football tournaments and other major international sporting events. We regularly work with blue-chip clients such as TNT Sports, Sky, BBC, Amazon, DAZN and ITV. As well as our aerial systems we have a suite of specialist cameras including wire and rail camera systems. We have multiple gimbals, from SHOTOVER, Extreme Cameras, Movi Pro’s and DJI Ronin.
The role
The new pilot will initially be based at our offices in Epping, Essex, full time, 5 days a week. Office days require learning our equipment and preparing kit for future events. As the applicant progresses and becomes qualified, they will split their time between the office and onto our live events.
Ultimately the aim is for the applicant to become a fully fledged BATCAM Pilot once they have the relevant and required experience/qualifications.
MUST have skills:
- An existing skill set/experience of RC. Whether that's drone's, heli's, jets or boats.
- Driving licence
- Due to insurance requirements the applicant must be over 21 years of age.
NICE to have skills:
- Experience using Freefly systems aircraft
- Experience using Pixhawk suite of flight controllers
- FPV experience
- GVC qualification
- Soldering Skills
